Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of this website and your stay at Country Cornerstone Retreat LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking a reservation or using our site, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

All reservations must be paid in full according to the payment schedule shown during booking.
All bookings are contingent upon receipt of a signed rental agreement and valid photo ID. Bookings may be canceled if documents are not received within 24 hours of reservation.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings for non-payment, chargebacks, or invalid information.
Payment processing is handled via third-party platforms (e.g., Lodgify, Stripe, Airbnb, etc.).

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund, minus a 3% processing fee.
Cancellations made between 14 and 30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for early departures, weather events, no-shows, travel delays, or unused nights.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to be valid.
We highly recommend guests purchase travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes or emergencies.
Any attempt to dispute or reverse charges ("chargebacks") through your payment provider without first contacting us to resolve the matter may be considered fraud. We will vigorously dispute all fraudulent chargebacks with documentation including signed rental agreements, ID, communications, and evidence of property use.

3. Check-In / Check-Out

Early check-in or late check-out must be arranged in advance and may be subject to additional fees.

4. Property Rules & Guest Conduct

No smoking inside the property.
No unauthorized guests, parties, or events unless approved in writing.
Guest agrees to treat the property with respect. Excessive noise, damage, or violations may result in additional charges or early termination of stay.
Violation of house rules or local laws may result in immediate eviction without refund.

5. Damage & Security Deposit

Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft occurring during their stay.
Costs for repairs, replacements, or excessive cleaning will be billed to the guest.
We reserve the right to charge your payment method or retain your security deposit to cover damages.

6. Use of Website

You agree not to misuse our website, submit false information, or attempt unauthorized access.
All website content is protected by copyright and may not be copied or reused without written permission.

7. Liability Disclaimer

Use of the property is at your own risk.
We are not liable for accidents, injuries, weather events, theft, or third-party service interruptions (e.g. internet, electricity, booking platforms).

8. Privacy

Your data is protected under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or misuse your personal information.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Country Cornerstone Retreat LLC, its owners, members, employees, contractors, subcontractors, service providers, vendors, representatives, affiliates, successors, and any related or associated companies or entities, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, suits, damages, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees and legal costs) arising out of or relating to: (i) your use of the property; (ii) any breach or violation of these Terms & Conditions; (iii) your negligent or willful acts or omissions; (iv) the acts or omissions of any person or animal you permit on the property during your stay; or (v) any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property caused by you or your guests. This indemnity shall survive the conclusion of your stay and the termination of this Agreement.

10. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Highland County, Ohio.
You hereby waive your rights to bring an action in another venue and forfeit your right to oppose a motion to transfer if such action is brought in another venue.

11. Maximum Occupancy

The total number of guests allowed to stay overnight is strictly limited to the number agreed upon in your reservation. Additional guests must be approved in writing. Violation of this policy may result in immediate eviction without refund and forfeiture of your security deposit.

12. No Commercial Use

This property may not be used for commercial photography, filming, events, or any business purposes without prior written approval. Unauthorized use may result in cancellation of your stay and legal action.

13. Security and Monitoring

For the safety and security of our guests and property, we may use exterior security cameras. These cameras are located only on the exterior of the home and do not monitor private indoor spaces. Tampering with or disabling cameras is strictly prohibited.

14. Health & Accessibility Notice

This property is not ADA-compliant and may not be suitable for individuals with mobility limitations or specific medical needs. By booking, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the property layout and amenities and determined that they meet your needs.

Country Cornerstone Retreat LLC is committed to making our digital content accessible and inclusive to all individuals, including those with disabilities. 15. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure to perform any obligation under this agreement if prevented due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemic-related disruptions, utility failures, or any event beyond our control.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your stay shall not exceed the total amount paid for your reservation. This limitation applies to all damages of any kind, including indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

17. Age Restrictions

Guests must be at least 25 years old to book this property. The primary guest must remain at the property for the duration of the reservation and may be required to provide valid government-issued ID upon request.

18. Travel Insurance

We recommend guests carry personal travel insurance, as we are not responsible for cancellations or interruptions outside our control.

19. Legal Fees

In the event of any legal action related to this agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs.

20. Rental Agreement & ID Verification

To confirm your booking, you are required to sign a rental agreement and submit a valid government-issued photo ID within 24 hours of booking. Failure to comply may result in cancellation without refund. This agreement includes house rules, payment terms, and guest responsibilities and is legally binding.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page and become effective immediately upon publication.
